They shouldn't have been there for more than that because they just aren't ready, so if you're frustrated it's more about the process of waiting on a developing prospect than what the team is actively doing. Fully agree. If the team can show heart and play hard like they did last year, then it'll be another fun season to watch.

What I like to see is how much enthusiasm there is with the Flames this year - at least from CP. Everyone seems to have tempered expectations (read: we will not do that well), but regardless people are excited to watch this team, and I think they are going to be entertaining!

Yup. It's a nice feeling. Of course the more rabid posters tend to only turn up once the season starts, but still.

I also just have a good feeling about the organization right now. Don't get me wrong, we have no idea if we actually have a good management or not, but it seems to me that the organization is really trying it's best to do this rebuild right. Lots of changes from top to bottom, and lots of consideration seems to have gone into what they could do better.

Who knows whether they'll get it right, but it's a good feeling when you can look at what they're doing and genuinely go "yeah I'm on board with that".

Still, there's a pretty good chance I'm not going to skip a good number of games next season. The NHL package is pretty expensive here anyway, and I've got tons of stuff I need to get done.

Yup, there's a difference between rebuilding and gutting a team to tank.
