You're right, my mistake.
Still don't think they are that far on the development curve that one can be considered in a totally different stage of his career.

Depending on how things shake out, the hiring of Brian Burke may be a success for this franchise if not for the singular reason of disallowing Jay Feaster from ruining Sven Baertschi's pro career.

Probably both, but I think last year he proved himself to a completely average prospect. He's 23, and there doesn't seem to be a ton of high-end upside showing, so if he makes it, it will probably be as a fairly non-consequential player. Prospects tend to have a lot of "magic mystery box" appeal to them, and sometimes when the reality is revealed, the hype tends to dissipate.

Poirier didn't fall. Last year Pronman had him 10th (behind Hanowski). He has never been a fan. Moving him up to 6th is actually a big concession for him.

I suspect the same thing will happen to Arnold and Agostino this year after a year in the AHL.

Sam Bennett will be good but he is not in the same category as Johnny. I see JG on that elite tier as McJesus and Eichel.

He sees the value in Granlund and has Reinhart a little lower. Smart guy.
Poirier a spot or two higher and he's pretty much right on.

The higher rank might be due to Bennett's size advantage, and how his play and size will translate into the NHL.
Not saying I agree with him being above Johnny though.

Yeah, I don't agree with Johnny at number 2 but I can understand the uncertainty factor that plays in. It undoubtedly will still play a factor in him becoming successful or not. So I don't have a problem with it.
However, MacKinnon, Gaudreau, McDavid, Eichel, Tavares IMO are the upcoming elite class of talent of the past 5 years, and yes, Johnny's right in the thick of them. Crazy as it sounds, if Johnny reaches his ceiling, that's the company he'll be in. A LOT of ifs that play into it, though.

Maybe elite skills but his size is a major negative as he's tiny and there's no way around it as guys like Fleury and St. Louis are exceptions not the norm. Sven's a bigger player and he gets outmuscled fairly easily and you wonder how his body will hold up as he's starting to accumulate an injury history. Time will tell with Gaudreau so it's no surprise that Bennett is a much safer bet to have an impactful NHL career and when I say that I mean a long and productive career as a franchise cornerstone as small guys like Roy, Gerbe, Cammalleri, Gionta have all been quality players but none of them have ever approached franchise player status and it's not due to lack of skills but more to lack of size. Not saying I don't believe in Johnny but he's got a lot more to prove than Monahan and Bennett and I think you are being overly generous comparing him to McDavid or Eichel.

Guys would it be too much trouble to please keep this stuff in white text so when fans of other teams visit they don't paint us all with the same brush of way, way, way, way overrating our prospects?
