Moments are big in sports. They define player and organizational legacies.
When people remember big Flame moments there are two Gelinas moments that will be forever among a small handful of moments that people recall.
That counts for a lot.

I love what Gelinas did, but is Paul Henderson in the Hall of Fame?

Had to go with Reinhart. It's a true shame that he couldn't stay healthy.

Really disappointed to see Gelinas leading Reinhart.
Gelinas - 2 seasons as a Flame, never an All-Star game appearance
Reinhart - 9 seasons as a Flame, 2 time All-Star
Should be a slam dunk for Rhino. I am so disappointed I have voted Eric Nystrom in protest.

I am old enough to remember Reinhart, and he was awesome. A younger zukes thought that Lionel Ritchie's song, "All Night Long" was "Oh Rhino" for Paul Reinhart.
That said, Gelinas in 2004 clinches it.

Gelinas was great, but overall, doesn't match Reinhart.

Are you saying it was one of Fletchers dumbest moves because Steve Bozek was also involved in that trade?
Obviously Reinhart's back problems were the reason for the trade, he only played 2 years for Vancouver before retiring. Can't fault Fletcher for moving those guys, it gave others more ice time and we won the Cup the next year.

I wasn't alive in the 80s. Unless it was a player like McDonald or MacInnis, I gotta vote for the best player I watched.

That's stupid and ignores facts and data. So what you're saying is that in your mind you would vote for someone like P.K. Subban because he's good and you've seen him play over someone like Larry Robinson who was an amazing player for a long period of time? Your reasoning is ludicrous.
It's not hard. You can do a search on a player and find out more about him. You grew up with the internet…figured you would know how to use it.

I'm not voting for the "best" player, I'm voting for the one that I would most associate with the number. Reinhart isn't a player that I watched, nor is he someone as well known as McDonald, MacInnis, Fleury or any of the other older players I voted for. When I think 23 in a Flames uniform, I think of Gelinas (although Monahan will probably take that spot eventually).

I find a lot of these to be pretty tough cause you have the age gap between posters. Some say Reinhart without a doubt but I know enough about him and I don't really care about on all of the stats. For that reason the easy choice for me is Gelinas.

Not concerned about that Bozek trade, but Reinhart almost derailed the Cup run, and continued to be a thorn in the Flames' side for a couple of seasons. His departure did leave room for others, but I'd rather have seen him playing for the Flames than Nattress

Vote for Reinhart if for no other reason than he spawned our own beloved Max Power and 2 other great young hockey players, one of which could be a top player for years to come.

Yes.

Henderson has twice been inducted into Canada's Sports Hall of Fame: in 1995 individually and in 2005 along with all players of the Summit Series team. He was inducted into the International Ice Hockey Federation Hall of Fame in 2013.

I can understand why people are voting for Gelinas but it's Reinhart all the way here.
