Watching those highlight at the WC makes me think how many of players both on his own team and on opposing teams are probably saying "Who is this kid?!" and "How did he do that?"
To me Johnny's toe drags don't look like he's trying to deke the defenceman to get past him, it's more to gain better lateral positioning where there is open ice.
