^^I remember that deal,a couple of guys at work jumped all over it.
It was the end of the Blazer and they were pretty much giving them away.
Great buy.

The Acura EL, TSX and TL were always my favorite. Easily accessible below $15k for an older one and if I recall, repairs weren't too costly.
Definitely may be my next car once my car dies.

Love the funky designs/colours it comes in.

I now drive a newer C class and love the wide stance and front end. I think they will still look modern in 5-10 years! The reliability is a different story :S

I have a clean E36 M3, and still catch a lot of people checking it out.
They definitely hold up, style wise, still.

It's a shame these aren't "moderately priced" anymore...these things cost a fortune if you find one in decent shape!

for me it's always been the 1988 - 1999 chev/gm 1500-3500 trucks. i just love them... that's probably why i still have one.
i remember back in high school/university carrying a pic of a black stepside bombing up the side of a mountain in one of my binders. people would ask me what the deal was with the picture and i always told them that one day i'd own a truck like that.
in 1997 i got my baby.... a 1989 chev stepside. i bought it off a couple in Brooks for $8000... and i still love my truck!
**edit.... it didn't always look like this ^^^
here's me back in '97 posing with my new ride! ha! ha!

I'll spare you a picture but how about the 2008 Cobalt SS Turbo... yes a Cobalt... not for the styling but in case you didn't know, it's arguably the best performing FWD car ever: in Car and Driver's hands, faster around a track than the Evo, 135i, IS F, S5, S2000, Challenger SRT8, Lotus Elise, G37, STI...
Boy it's fun walking all over people in a Cobalt. The supercharged/turbo models will always be one of my favourite cars ever.

Late 90's Rav 4. I bought one for $600 dollars with 140,000 km, and I've put 90,000 more on it doing nothing but oil changes (which take under 5 minutes with a pan and one wrench) and one brake job. The Japanese used to build awesome stuff. Granted that 5th gear is wonky now, but for the price I'll just drive it in 4th and not go over 110km/h.

You don't get Hi-Aces? That had me do a real double-take, that's how ubiquitous it is in Europe. Kind of like not having a McDonalds or something, it's just something you expect to see everywhere

Nope. No Hi-Ace, no Hi-Lux, no real Land Cruiser.

You are a lucky person.
I want one of those, but finding a rust-free model can be difficult.

88 Fiero GT
I think the styling on the fieros has held up remarkably well. Too bad about the bad reputation and people butchering them to make their fake exotics. On nice summer days I wish I had my old 85 GT, man that was a fun car.

I think every kid of a certain age dreamed of a Fiero. Yes it was a blatant Ferrari rip-off, but still such a cool looking car.

Scirroco <--- This exact one is for sale, locally here in Calgary. $8500.
And then my personal bias showing, a reasonably affordable when new, VW MKIV R32. Even easier to get into, on the used market.

I always admired the mid 90's Toyota Supra.
Expensive (for me) back then, but man could those cars go like stink.
