For awhile I was following the Calgary section on SkyscraperPage, but it is just too poorly organized, 95% of the content goes into one thread meaning that if you don't check in every single day there is a ton of useless posts to sift through, mostly arguments between downtowners and suburbanites. If the moderators forced people to actually use specific threads and not derail threads with totally off topic discussions it would be very interesting.

/r/calgary is pretty small but has some discussion. #yyc on Twitter has lots of local stuff too. Can't really think of too many others though — one of my favourite things about CP is the local discussion, so I'd be interested in learning about others too.

I read (and occasionally contribute) to a couple of motorcycle forums, specifically VFRworld and VFRD, but given my limited time I'm really only active on this fine forum.

Frankly, with sports, Calgary, and misc topics, CP has it all.

I've always found the off-topic forum here to be the best for discussion and feedback on local matters.

I'm always quite surprised with how dead the YYC Reddit page is, despite all the members registered for it.

Obviously I've contributed a lot over at the Skyscraperpage forums.
