You could see if a formal store can sell you a retired rental. Most ties like that are rented are pre tied with a adjustable strap/clip on the neck band. PM me for more info.

1. Get friend/somebody to tie the tie for you
2. Loosen tie when not needed slipping noose over your head saving the tie knot
3. Next time you need it slip it over your head tighten and done.
Or do the Brian Burke

Just a second here guys. I know how to tie a single Windsor. I've known since 1986 when I tied my skinny black leather tie. I just don't want to.
Yeah Baby's suggestion is really good. Thanks dude... I'll pm you.

Can't you just hold your wife's bag while she ties it?

In the time it will take you to inquire this forum, source out, drive to get, and drive home from getting this tie, you could tie enough Windsor knots to satisfy you tie needs for the rest of your life if you are only using a tie once or twice a year. Plus you won't look like a goober at the wedding.
Go to Winners, they have hundreds of nice brand name ties for 10-20 dollars and be done with it.

This is getting nuts.
I'm aware I can buy a tie like everyone else. I don't want one.

Is this some kinda anti-establishment / give it to the man thing?
At any rate good luck with your search.

Yeah Baby's suggestion is excellent. I personally find those ties more of a pain than anything, but that's just me.
And don't let people get to you. Yes I tie my ties when I wear them. But, I also usually just slip off my dress shirts over my head because I'm too lazy to button/unbutton them. So I understand what you're saying.
If Yeah Baby can't help you, I'd think taking a walk through the mall next time you're there and seeing who the men's stores rent from, then contact their supplier directly.

Ok fair, you don't want to buy a regular tie, for whatever your reason maybe. I think though, this is going to be your issue:
"They had one at Sears but it looked cheap and crappy"
You are looking for a clip on tie that doesn't look cheap and crappy. I don't believe such and item exists, because there is no demand given most people will simply learn to tie a tie if they want a decent looking item.
None the less, I hope you find one somewhere!

You obviously have terrible fashion sense because everyone knows that you don't wear a clip-on, you want a zip-on. The only other acceptable tie is the piano key. Good luck!

I still have my piano key tie, I don't have the heart to bin it. So many awesome memories of playing Duran Duran keyboard solos on my chest at Jr. High school dances. Some guys air guitared. I chest keyboarded.

This stubbornness is even more ridiculous than MattyC's bizarre insistance yesterday that everyone was voting for prospects in the wrong way.
Can't wait to see what tomorrow brings!

And there's your problem. There's no such thing as a quality clip-on tie. Its like asking for quality jean sweat pants. Or quality microwave pizza. You're either ok with its crappiness, or you just don't go there.
Heed the advice of the majority my friend!

You are better off just going for a nice shirt and skipping the tie.....alternatively, get a zip up leather tie, bonuses points if the leather tie looks like piano keys......
