I still think this move needs to be named "The Cold Burn".

Powerplay Quarterback

I still think Colborne has the ability to undergo metamorphosis into Patrick Kane just for shootouts, it's be great if he could develop that ability for an entire game

On Providence's website Jankowski's weight is recorded at 186. Assuming the 15 lbs he put on is from the start of last season, he might be at 200.

Pretty sure the 15lbs for Jankowski is since he was drafted. He was 168lbs when he was drafted.

I do believe he was listed at 189 by the end of last season. I suspect it would be safe to say he's between 205-210. We should know for sure at training camp. Would be nice to see another gain like that between now and the end of the season. If he can play at 6'4 and 220-230 he'll be one handful to deal with.

Pretty sure it isn't. He was 186 at the start of last season with Providence.

Excellent. Big kig pushing to play a bigger game with the hands he has just push him further and further into long-term considerations for this roster. Really like this kid.
I also severely miss seeing Backlund

The 960 guys this morning were talking him down like he was a plug. It was kind of surprising. I don't think he's going to be a star player but players that big with sweet hands and can skate IMO aren't in abundance in the league and if he can continue to improve he should be a solid 3rd liner that can play 2nd line minutes at times.

Nobody works harder than Colborne... in terms of trying to improve. He will never be a very physical player, but that more bulk could make him dominant.
When he left my home town Jr. team, I was sure he would score 40 in the NHL. He won't, but I believe 20-25 is very possible - and that would be excellent.
But then, I'm biased when it comes him.

Lots of people forget this guy and the solid development he showed this year. Hopefully he picks up where he left off. Love the kind of puck possession game he can bring to the flames.

Heard that this morning too. It made no sense when they say he was pretty replaceable. Why would the Flames just give up on this guy when they went through all the trouble to develop him last year, and now he's showing progress. I like listening to Boomer and Pinder normally, but sometimes they are just way out to lunch with their opinions.

So what I am hearing is that the arbitration case is starting early in the media?
The sun is pumping up Colborne and the fan replies by knocking him down.
Personally, I like the kid and hope he pans out. The Flames deserve some wins like that over the leafs.

Colborne played great. In my opinion he was unable to finish when he worked to get to the spot. He missed at least half a dozen -- how do you miss that goal -- last season.

I can't see why he wouldn't. Last year I think was his first full season. He started using his body more, probably realized that it takes a toll on the body more, and now with the added strength and size he can use it more, while being more durable.
I hope people aren't expecting a player that is going to throw his weight around with big hits and such, just doesn't have the personality to be that type of player. I do think he'll be a very hard player to get off the puck, as well as he'd probably win a lot more puck battles while creating more space for both himself and his line mates.
