Fair money for a physical, two way center with high leadership qualities. I fully expect this guy to get the C

Columbus is a playoff team and Dubinsky was their #1 forward.
This contract makes 3/4 centre Stajan look like a huge over payment.

Sorry but not even close. Ryan Johansen was clearly their best forward, not even close. A case can me made for Jenner as #2.
This deal is stupid, they're haggling over Johansen's term right now and throw 6 years, almost 6 mill and NTC to Dubinsky? They'll regret this one.

at even strength they were Johansen had 26 goals and 43 pts in 82 games...
Dubinsky 12 goals 40 pts in 76 games. Dubinsky handled just over a minute more ice time /game.
Johansen is more skilled offensively and may be the better player but not by any huge margin.
Somebody had better inform Todd Richards that Boone might be his second best forward as he only gave him 14 minutes /game of ice time. 2 minutes /game more than Blake Comeau.

Their offence goes through Johansen, he was a beast last year. You will hear their radio guys saying the same thing.
As far Jenner goes, someone must've informed Richards about Jenner as his time went to over 17 minutes a night for the playoffs. Like I said it can be argued but right now Dubi is better then Jenner but Johansen is the best forward on that team.

Something to keep in mind as well is that Dubinsky and Johansen have the same agent, perhaps it's a bit of an overpayment, but keeping the agent of your big guns happy will help.

Remarkably, the game of hockey includes power plays as part of the time played and it matters just as much.
Johansen was their best player by a country mile.

Try watching the game, and not the stats sheet.

Not Dubinsky related but the Jackets have invited Ryo Hashimoto; a 21 year old Defensemen to the camp. Link below.

The Isles also invited fellow Japanese mate, Yuri Terao to their camp as well.

A bit of overpayment, but I think they needed to keep him. He provides leadership and stability to an organization who's only been getting better since John Davidson took over. BTW, am i the only one who thinks St. louis has made some very poor decisions since Davidson left?

No, it really doesn't. Why? Because although Dubinsky's better than Stajan and worth a lot more, he's not worth almost $3 million more and he's not $5.85 million good. $5.85 million for Dubinsky is an overpayment of at least 1 million dollars.

Like the Callahan contract you are paying for intangibles.
Glencross has to be happy though because IMO those are two pretty good comparables as UFAs.

And like Callahan, the price for those intangibles I think is too much.
