Bennett and Monahan are both very good, McDavid and Eichel are better. I'd rather have 3 stars up the middle like Pittsburgh did with Crosby Malkin and Staal than only have two. After that, trade any of the other guys for D-men.

Personally, I don't want Booth on this team.
From me disliking him aside, not a bad move really. A one-year 'prove me' contract is fine, and with his injury history it might just be a matter of time before he gets replaced with a youngster anyways.
Still hope it doesn't happen, but as long as it is a one-year deal I wouldn't hate it too much.

I wonder if this rumor emerged from the agent side rather then the team side. Agent knows flames need centres, knows his client is a risk of falling out of the league. He's banging on doors to find a potential landing spot. Hopefully the Flames didn't even answer the door. "We're eating dinner, f$@k off."
