The signing of Matt Moulson brings the Sabres only $6.85 million from the cap floor. Tim Murray said he had no reason to worry. he was right

MacLean thinks it's a bad signing since the Sabres should be going after McDavid. God I hate that guy, no wonder he doesn't have a job anymore. Your first priority as a team should never, ever be to tank. I hate MacLean so damn much.

I have never been a fan of his and 5 years seems long when a lot of guys are signing for 3 or 4 years.

Moulson's game appears to be based on basically standing around the slot and waiting for pucks. Even if he's good at that, I wouldn't like that type of player on the Flames. Too passive and he goes long stretches without touching the puck.

I am more than fine with not over paying and over terming.

I like this move by the Sabres. Plenty of cap space Moulson will get his points but Buffalo needs to fill far too many weak spots to get out of the basement of the East.

For all the arguing of who had more value between Moulson and Cammalleri at the trade deadline, pretty funny that they both got the same money and term.
