Know what I actually didn't realize he was that big.

Whenever I have watched him play he just looks small but guess he is a decent size.

True. But I actually don't mind reading about what he has to say about the Flyers. I think he actually does have some legitimate connections within the Flyers organization.

Playoff veteran leadership for the Avs, just what they needed. Question now is, an Briere who gets injured a fair bit, survive the toils of the west?

Win for the Habs as they clearly get the best player in the deal. Not sure what the Avs think they can get out of Briere.

In the end, I feel like this will be a deal where nothing was traded for nothing.

Probably that they get an extra $4 million in cap space for 2015/16 season. Could help with signing O'Reilly .

I actually think going back to the Eastern Conference will have Parenteau back to 20 goals and 50+ points. He's like a lot of players that put up good points out east and suffered a drop off going to the Western conference.

Habs were after him last year, they tried to trade useless Bourque for him.

Yeah, the size thing is getting silly, 18 out of the top 30 scorers are 6'1 or shorter and only 5 were taller than 6'2.

Nice trade for the Habs. Watched Briere a few times last season and he was pretty invisible. I guess the Avs are maybe hoping he'll pay off for them if they make the playoffs.

Parenteau is the more effective regular season player for this coming season in this trade.

To PUNISH people…end of story. If he scores more than 10 goals a year it's a bonus.

Yes, because as we all know the winner of games is decided by the punishment index and not by a greater number of goals scored.
