Still the worst Jersey in the NHL. Still the worst named team in all pro sports in North America. But this is slightly better than last year's Jersey.

The gold has to go, it's ugly. I don't mind the logo, it's not great and I like the bigger sized crest but that sparkly gold is just tacky.
Embrace more of the orange, get rid of the mostly black home jersey and go with one orange as the main colour.

There's a few sports teams named the Ducks.
There's also the Pelicans of the NBA. That's pretty bad.

The Raptors is worse.
Both teams were named to capitalize on the popularity of a movie series from the 90s in an effort to help sell merchandise to small children, but at least there are actually ducks in Southern California.
If the team had joined the NBA 10 years earlier, people would probably be cheering for the Toronto ALFs.

Yeah I do hate the Raptors name and logo. The thing is though, rather than Raptors being short for velociraptor (which nobody used to call them such before Jurassic Park), they can be rebranded as a bird of prey, ie. What a real raptor is. Then you have a pretty cool logo and name.
Ducks though, is such a stupid name and can't ever be made to sound cool or intimidating.

The logo is better than the word mark but this is still one of the uglier jerseys in the league. It's like they couldn't decide if they wanted to copy the colours of Pittsburgh or Philly so they just decided to combine them. Go back to the Teal and Eggplant.

They had the same primary uniform set from their beginning until 2006, and they've had that set since then. That change coincided with Disney's sale of the team. This is only their third primary set in 20+ years.
They've had a few different alternate jerseys over the years, but not really much more than most teams. This design is similar to the third jersey they've been wearing for the last 4 seasons.

There are plenty of teams with names that aren't intimidating, like the Penguins. Baseball likes to use birds that aren't intimidating. No big deal. I think your hate for the Ducks is probably a spill over from when they were the Mighty Ducks. I hated that name, too.
Ducks, however, is not a terrible name. At least it's something. A duck is a duck. WTF is an Oiler? Is that a guy who oils things? A guy who extracts oil from the ground? Is it a little can in your grandfather's garage that you push the bottom of to oil your bike chain? If you want to talk about stupid names, I contend that Oilers is the stupidest name in sports. The name really is no good.
