Very much liked what Burke had to say about not needing to move up just for ego. I trust them to have a good draft which is a calming feeling.

No. Likely that he is not drafted in the top three, but also a far cry from "almost guaranteed".

I could watch Sieloff highlights all day long. Dude's neck is ridiculous. He looks like a linebacker, lol.

That's one of the things about him that helps allay my fears that he might not have the size to play the type of game he does long term. The guy is pretty much built to absorb impact. Like you said, built more along the lines of a line-backer or wrestler than a hockey player.

The odds of Ritchie being drafted top 3 is pretty unlikely. So ya it's almost guaranteed that it won't happen. Those are pretty much saying the same thing. If it was a far cry from then the odds would be somewhat decent. Like I said if you think that it is even a bit likely put your money where your mouth is. Otherwise I don't even see why you tried to nitpick the difference between "likely" and "almost guaranteed." Weird thing to bring up and care about.

Burke trying on the cowboy hat had me in stitches. I would definitely watch a talk show called Hallett and Burke.

You could hear Kristin thinking "Yes! I pried a big word out of him! " after he said "esoteric". Burke's always a good interview.

Yup Burke with a grey octopus and a cowboy hat on his head is just too much

Flames fly in top picks Ekblad, Bennett, Reinhart for private visits

I am sure this article has been discussed already, but just in case someone missed it.

That was the best Burke interview in years. Well done, Kristin.

Great Burke interview. Hallet always does a good job. In those scenarios I think you can tell Burke is a genuine person and actually a good guy. People judge him way to much off his abrasive attitude with some media. I honestly think he's a stand up guy. Wish there was a bit more on Granlund. Seems like Burke never wants to give to much praise but I think it's a good approach.

I find it funny that Burke is fine with long hair, but not high numbers.

I didn't see this video in the thread, it's the prospect update video for Monahan.

My favourite part, Burke: "I don’t know how the geniuses that voted for rookie of the year left him off that ballot but that’s another topic I guess. I thought he had a great year."

Is Ryan Leslie the new Flames tv guy? He did very well asking the questions in all those interviews.

If you watch the video he tells you why he's fine with long hair... now if he wore a high number through hockey then your statement would would be spot on... but he didn't

For those that didn't watch the video... Burke had long hair in his younger playing years hence why he would say anything about the length of ones hair.

Yes, I did watch the video. Regardless I still find it funny.

Next step, Burke mandates that all players must grow their hair long.
"If that was good enough for the great players in the '70s, then it's good enough for us."
