There is some pretty upsetting video and photos in the Reddit thread, just a warning.

Three cops dead, two wounded. Kind of hard to think of what to say.

Weird, unless I'm missing something, Foxnews and MSNBC either haven't heard about this yet or just aren't covering it. Either one is pretty unbelievable.

NBC News has it, that's effectively the same thing. I refuse to even go to foxnews to check on them.

Sounds like RCMP are asking people to not share locations of Mounties for fear the shooter is using social media to track them. Very scary. I hope he's shot dead soon, er, captured.

Looks like we share morbid habits of searching foreign news to see how 'big' the story is. main headline on CNN and BBC. news.com.au doesn't have much yet, but they've got a pretty major hostage situation happening in Adelaide.

I hope they take this guy down before anybody else gets hurt or killed. My thoughts and prayers go out to the officers injured or killed putting their lives on the line during this ordeal and their families. True heroes.

A couple of posts from his facebook page:

Ask yourself, would you fight for the future of your children or grandchildren, or your family and friends sons and daughters?
The answer is: no you're too stupid to know what to fight for, cause we're already losing the silent war you don't wanna believe is happening.

Most people are busy worrying about the Oscars today, allot unaware the third world war could be right around the corner, wishful thinking isn't gonna stop this one. This will not be like Iraq, NATO is vastly outnumbered by Russia and her allies.

Lots of gun rights stuff.

Because they haven't found him I'm quite concerned that he's into someone's home and there are more people at risk.

My guess is prescription medications, but that's usually my guess. Freaking tragic anyways, hopefully nobody else gets hurt.

This animal needs to be put down. He does not deserve to live after what he has done.
