It seems to be the rumour. IIRC his wife found a good job in the UK back then and that's why he left TSN.

Yep, he's a good one. He's done the Habs regional games and the WHC in Europe. That's why TSN only has 2 crews during the playoffs.
"Randorf was also the host of Olympic Daytime on TSN during the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Winter Games, which marked his seventh tour of Olympic duty."

Ball really likes living in Vancouver so I don't see him moving. He likes radio and TV and that he can do the Lions and the Canucks. He could be on SNET depth chart for the national games. He did call HNIC games.

Rick Ball is a great PBP guy and the Flames region just so happens to have a nice cushy job opening.

Dave Tomlinson is the colour commentator. Yep, the Oilers have amateurs running their TV games.

I'm for that as well. He's pretty good.

Broadhead? Yes, he has been calling CHL and AHL games on Sportsnet for a number of years.

I guess that means Duthie will be hosting all of the CFL coverage.

Paul Romanuk is coming on 960 right away this morning. I've always been a fan of his.

the way that brunt was talking this morning it also sounds like eric dhutchek (sp) is also now with SN.
to me SN has now done a decent job of picking up some nice pieces of on air talent, and I'd assume that they can also pick up some of CBC's camera/technical guys as well, given that CBC is seemingly cutting back.

Camera-technical crews used by SN and TSN almost completely identical. Many of same free lance to CBC.

Was thinking this myself. People may not remember that he pre-dated Randorf as CFL panel host on TSN. His work as a host speaks for itself.

Makes sense as they will have to really prop up the CFL hard now and it's the only place where Duthie will host on a national level outside of whatever type of hockey highlight show they may run on weeknights.
