They already have Michael Holditch as one AGM.

It sounds like they will hire another AGM with more of a hockey role.

Kinda feel bad for Connie as the special asst. to a fired GM. I know Conroy has his duties still but that had to be akward for him after Feaster got the axe. Hope there is a continued spot for Conroy, but I don't think he is quite ready for asst. GM yet.

Not really a fan of giving the job to Conroy. Would like to see us look throughout the hockey world and get someone with a bit more related experience. Let Conroy prove himself more where he is.

Conroy is essentially our version of Treliving. Conroy will get experience in all areas of the organization and in six or seven years, will be a GM candidate himself.

Burke said earlier that Conroy is already qualified for the AGM job but Treliving will be able to choose his own guy.

"Connie is staying," insisted Brian Burke, Flames president of hockey operations.

"What I've told Craig is he brings an organizational knowledge and enthusiasm. I told Craig he will be a candidate for the AGM job as will Kelly Kisio. If Craig's not successful we're going to map out a path for him. He's kind of drifted for us, doing whatever's been asked of him. But I think with talented young employees you need to chart out a path for them and say 'here's what you're going to do the next two years and we'll go from there.'"

To me this is a win/win because either Conny gets the chance to prove himself from a proven leader, or he gets groomed for the role over the next few years understanding that he will eventually get an opportunity.

Why not a couple of AGMs with different areas of focus.

Glad that they will give him a more defined role if he is not the next AGM. If they hire a new AGM and all goes well, the new AGM will be poached from flames when we win the cup in 5-7 years. That opens the door for Conroy if he is willing to wait it out.

Kelly Kisio has done a great job for the Hitmen and I'm surprised he never moved up to the pros. He's 54 now and admitted that he gave up his Hitmen GM job because he'd lost some enthusiasm so I don't know if he'd be appropriate as AGM but we'll see what happens. Of course having his experience to help a green GM would also be good.

My vote for what it's worth goes to Conroy. He's already doing some AGM jobs and been successful.

Conroy and Kisio are both good candidates and guys you want to keep in the organization. Maybe Kisio can step in as AGM and Conroy can take over the reins of the Hitmen as his proving ground? Seems like a win-win.

Conroy's not qualified? I think him getting on a plane and signing potentially one of our most important draft picks in the past 20 years is nothing to scoff at.

Conroy will stay with the team. That I have no doubt. Or at the very least be really surprised if he is not kept on. Does he get an AGM spot? Maybe not but he could also end up potentially VP of hockey operations and Gm of the Heat or so.e such arrangement. Burke likes him a lot so we've heard and read so I can see Burke making a position for him.

I think Kisio would be a great add on to the management group as well.

I almost think Treliving walked into a great scenario with the kind of people the Flames have in the organization. I'd be surprised if he didn't keep Conroy.

We're all talking about the AGM as one single position. I think it's very likely we see more than one individual in the AGM role.
