Now a lot of the vets go overseas or down to the ECHL. It's maybe lowered the competitive level of the league, but the results for the NHL are better.
As a fan (who admittedly has never seen an AHL game live), I definitely prefer the league to be more of a prospect/development league. I think it's much more exciting to watch guys with promising futures, even if that promise never works out, than to watch 30 year old journeymen. Knowing that most of the players are prospects also makes it a little easier to gauge stats of everyone, as are going up against more similar competition.

Yeah, as us being Flames NHL fans the current situation is better but if you are an AHL fan, it would probably be better to have some continuity of a few veteran star players.

Like the idea of a logo contest. Not because I dislike the current logo, but seeing some of the gifs and sigs by our population, I'd love to see what people could come up with!

Bold prediction: Emile Poirer makes the flames out of camp next season.

Would you accept 3 easy payments of 10.99 if I call within the next 30 minutes?

A new logo would be cool now that I think about it though. Love the site, but staying fresh never hurt anybody.
