I love hearing stories about Kipper.

So he hasn't played for a year, still lives near here, yet no one in the organization has even seen him? One of a kind

I heard he played some Rec hockey in black diamond a few times this winter. And he played forward too instead of goal! Love that guy!

Wouldn't surprise me... IIRC he showed up for an optional practice one time as a skater just for ####s and giggles. Really though I imagine if he wants to play hockey for fun he wouldn't do it in the way that he did it as a job.

Yeah he played LW I believe

Wouldn't be all that fair if he showed up to play goal in Beer League

Yup. Rhett is painful to listen to. Who dares insult Conny? WHO DARES? Seriously, I am not a big fan. Throw more boys under the bus, Rhett. This 'interview' is so disjointed... but it's Conny... must endure.

Interesting story by Conroy regarding the Gaudreau signing. I can see how Gaudreau's father would think his son isn't a Burke kind of player -- considering Burke's mantra this season has been to make the Flames bigger.

Regarding Burke's GM search, is that really happening at this point? How much longer are we supposed to be believe that? It's OK Burke, you're the GM. Stop insulting our intelligence.

I algo agree with Conroy regarding Draisaitl. I'd be absolutely thrilled if he landed at #4 -- the kid is a beast. I'd be happy with Bennett, too, but I'd give Draisaitl the edge.

I think Burke said it probably won't happen until after the draft.

Story of the B's

Burke is a butthead and isn't fooling you or I.

Bennett is better

Didn't he also once say it wouldn't happen until after the trade deadline? There's always an important event on the horizon. Might as well just say it wont happen until he's relieved of his duties...

The rationale is he may want to interview people who are currently employed and preparing for the draft.easier ouzo get permission afterwards

I find Rhett hilarious to listen to, toss Conroy in the mix and hell, I could have listened to them chat all day long. Boomer let them go for like 30+ minutes without a commercial break, great call.

Burke has been pretty consistent in telling everyone the new GM won't likely be hired until after the draft.

Anyways, I really liked what Conroy had to say overall yesterday.

Saying its up to Sven to find that other gear. Thinks he can do it but it might take longer.

The Jankowski comments were pretty good too. The skill is there but still needs more weight. Once he gets that weight he should be good to go. Said at the moment Janko gets knocked off of pucks too easily.

It was cool to listen to Rhett and Connie reminiscing about the old days. They were a close group. Kind of backs up Ference and his cup winning on ice interview when he won with Boston. First words out of his mouth were about the boys from the 04 team and how he wis he'd they won the cup.

Yeah, I thought it was great too. Didn't Rhett say Connie should probably not come back from Philadelphia if he didn't have Johnny with him. That was a pretty big deal for Conroy to be sent in more or less alone and pull it off.
