I've never been but reading the reviews is hilarious,

I would love to see Kitchen Nightmares do an episode here.

While recent developments will help create a solid street-wall down 10th, I don't think it will be an intense urban canyon with a limited amount of sunlight penetration at street level. It looks as though it will be more Parisian than New Yorker and 10th will be able to function as an outdoor living room, more valley than canyon.

top 10 reasons to eat at gratitude- everything is vegan & gluten free
- we do not use eggs, peanuts, sesame, rennet, meat or processed soy in our kitchen
- our vegan cheezes are house made from nuts!!
- the top section of our menu is our raw selection
- we offer cooking classes! sign up!
- we make enough food to sell out & prevent waste so if we are sold out, that’s why
- we do not take “LA” attitudes
- we get 100% on health inspections
- famous people have eaten here
- we donate stuff to different charities
|
By my count, that's 6 reasons to not eat there, 2 that are good, and 2 I don't care about.

The reviews of that place are awesome. I personally like the one from the customer who said she would rather shave her head with a cheese-grater than eat there again.
It does totally sound like the vegan version of the crazy couple from Kitchen Nightmares over there.

They had a little chalk sign board out in front the last couple of weeks saying they are closing. How has nobody put a smart ass remark on it yet?

Now I want to go there, and I will be incredibly disappointed if I don't have a terrible time.

Is it weird that I want to eat there now after reading all those terrible reviews?

####ty, I was looking for a good vegan place to eat at. Maybe this place was bad but what sucks is that once it will be gone that vegan option will also be gone. Calgary needs more food variety, not more meat and potato places. We have plenty of those (and I do like meet and potatoes) but i want more options.

Come to think of it, I'll dump my late-night leftover CPU pizza on the ground there later. You know, to help beautify that area as a responsible citizen.

We have many food options in Calgary. No vegan options though because well.... Vegan isn't really food.

There is another Vegan option in Kensington. Go graze in Riley Park.

Don't complain about vegan-food till you've been dragged to a raw-food restaurant.

Oh please, If I get to live another year because I've suffered through meal after meal of vegan garbage, it's not worth it. I'd rather eat a chicken breast, rare steak, or a salmon filet then suffer through a kilogram of lentils in a sitting.
Plus, I think vegan's should not have the right to name their foods in the same manner as meat - there is no such thing as a vegan "meatloaf", "hamburger" or "cheese." Find a new name, and stop trying to convince yourself that the taste and texture is the same as the superior product.

Unless you have meat, dairy and eggs in every meal and side dish you eat, you are eating "vegan garbage" too.

Ha, those reviews are awesome.
So it's true, Vegans will let you know they are Vegan's. The majority of the reviews have "I'm Vegan" or "I've been Vegan for __ years". You don't see reviews for the Keg showing "I've been eating dead animals for 5 years" before they proceed with the review.

Sure, everyone eats some sort of Vegan food.
I'm talking about when you go over to someone's place for dinner, and they cook a Vegan meatloaf, or vegan lasagna, and want you to choke it down.
The real thing is better - fake meat products do not taste the same, or have the same texture as the real thing.
I've got no problem with fruits and vegetables, or having a salad, but to ignore meat completely is just crazy.

Q: How do you know someone is Vegan?
A: Don't worry, they'll tell you
