Trevor Linden or Brenden Shanahan?

Linden is a god in Vancouver so I don't see him in a bad position, but as per team I think Shanny at this point has the best chance to turn the Leafs into a playoff contender, Canucks don't even have a goalie anymore. Though Toronto is in a better position to be better long term, I don't see them becoming a cup contender.

I think it'll all depends on the support people. Right now Shanahan is a little ahead because of Dave Nonis as the GM but for how long? Linden doesn't have anybody at this moment.

I think Linden is a brighter mind, Shanahan is no slouch though either. The big issue I have with both hirings is that they are both in over their heads, what happened to learning your trade or apprenticing?

Neither has any experience running a team and should have been an assistant for a year or two first, got their jobs based on their names and on ice accomplishments which is never a good thing.

Not that they won't come around but going to be some growing pains, gonna be tough in those markets.
