The bottom 6 and D-pairings are going to be bad, even for our standards. Also I like Glencross better with Backlund and Hudler.. didn't think he suited Monahan's line well.

4-2 Lightning. Goals from Giordano and Backlund, Monahan, Brodie, Glencross with assists.

Gelinas won a cup in 1990.

Tampa has been doing well lately. The Flames are on the road with a depleted lineup.

I don't have high expectations for this one.

at this point I want to lock up the top 4 pick, I don't like the system the way it is but a few meaningless games does nothing for us

send Cammy home too...all he is doing is upping his value for whatever ever team he goes to next year

The bottom six is cringe-worthy.
I wish they'd keep McGrattan and Westgarth together. I know BVB and Hanowski are green, but they're closer in speed and style to each other. Same for McGrattan and Westgarth--and Bouma seems to play well with them. He's also smart defensively, which is super important when you play centre.

McGrattan-Bouma-Westgarth could even be the third line--I think they would handle increased minutes okay.

So you're saying he needs to win another to get that grease stain off his legacy?

Yeah I was thinking that earlier, and plus Galiardi's got wheels too. If BVB - Galiardi - Hanowski were together they could be a half-decent energy line. Galiardi's gotta be antsy from being sat so long too so he's hungry.

McGrattan must be McLovin' these minutes he's been getting recently.

Grease stains don't come out. He can try to hide it, but it'll always be there.

If I'm being perfectly honest with myself, in the last 10 or so games (excluding games against the Oilers and Leafs), I breathe a little sigh of relief when the Flames don't come back to win a game.

The bottom six is cringe-worthy.

That said, Calgary 4, Stamkos 3 is my prediction. Go Flames!
Yikes is right lol

He deserves it... Works his tail off out there on the forecheck. The guy is one of the best goons we've had, in terms of actually being able to skate and play a bit of hockey.

Cammalleri-Backlund-Hudler-Glencross-Monahan-Colborne <-- any combination of these six players makes excellent 2nd and 3rd lines.
Bouma-Galiardi-McGrattan <-- excellent 4th line IMO

We just need 3 top line forwards and we'll be a force.

i feel westgarth has done well in this regard also. I always cringe when i see westgarth or mcgratton out there at times in a game, but am then amazed at how they are relatively responsible and do well from a possesion stand point on most shifts.
