Nobody will be effected by this more than Snow who can start preparing his resume any time now.

Good to see Wang pull out and stop forcing his head into places where it shouldn't be.

Jay-Z, haha. He owned 1/15 of 1 percent of the Nets (Forbes magazine) which he had purchased for $1M dollars. Sorry for this, he is a rich guy but his influence on the sporting world is just above zero. He does have money, about half of what Charles Wang has.

Charles Wang was a kooky and cheap owner but he put a ton of money overall into the Islanders team and tried everything to keep them in Nassau. He tried all sorts of development ideas to build a new arena, including no government financing, but couldn't get any support from the county. He knew nothing about running an NHL team but don't confuse that with how much he tried.

I hated the Islanders when they were in their dynasty years, but they have suffered enough and have entered the extreme underdog status, so would like to see the side show end and have a serious hockey team. Or move them to Quebec.

He might as well not even bother prepping a resume. With his track record I don't see many teams taking or returning any of his calls.

Ha ha. I think he may find work but not as a GM. He may have to accept scouting or assistant roles for a long time.

Disagree about Snow not being able to find work afterwards; if the oilers decide to clean house then I think Snow is exactly the kind of GM the idiots in edmonton would hire.

IMO the Vanek trades put the final nail in the coffin in regards to future GM jobs.

- Mediocre NHL goaltender
- Once of the worst GMs in recent memory

He'd probably be better to change his name and start all over again.

They need someone with as many rings as Lowe to teach them about winning. What has Snow won?

Snow was an average goaltender with no experience who was hired to be the GM of a team who made tons of dumb trades and signings and was able to keep his job. He's won a lot. He's also the kind of GM who'd just do whatever the hec his owner wants him to do.

I know the oilers only want the old school cup winners but he might fit right in!

Missed out on a thread title "Thinking about selling; Wang".

Probably a good time for him to sell, new investors would be excited and possibly overpay because of the upcoming move.

He's been at it this long he should stick with it, if he pulls out now things could get messy.

The Islanders GM will never get work again. I mean seriously, where are the Snows of yesteryear?

Not that much, but more than I expected. They are worth $780 million.
