Maybe! Inexcusable to give up a home run in that place. Games in San Diego are like dead-ball era games. That was like watching a game in 1906.

That was awesome. Cashner was aggressive, Dodgers batting payroll had nothing. If only the Friars didn't leave so many players on base in the first few innings maybe it could have been a stinker.

Nice to see Grady Sizemore homer in his first game after all the work he's put in to get to where he is. Redsox and Orioles tied at 1.

Darvish, Harrison, Holland, and Lewis are all starting the season on the DL. that's essentially the entire pitching rotation.
Throw Soto (who I'm not a big fan of, but it means Arencibia is the starting catcher) and Profar on the DL as well and you have a ton on key injuries from the get go.
That said, and no offense, but I hope the Angels continue to tank. They went from non-offensive rivals to a team I loathe seemingly overnight. (I'm sure Texas was the same way for you).

Bang on. Texas seems to have had our number for the past 3 or 4 years now. They've slowly annoyed me more and more. We just can't seem to beat them. Still don't hate them as much as the Dodgers or Blue Jays though!

Exactly. I hate the Athletics and Mariners more (no real reason, just do) and the Cardinals.
I hate Cardinals more than any team in baseball. If I see someone wearing Cards gear I inherently dislike them on some level (just as if they were wearing Canucks gear). I realize that's a bias and isn't fair, I don't hold it against someone personally. But oh the hate.

Buster Posey celebrates as he crosses home plate after his two-out, two-run home run in the ninth.

Perhaps a Giants thread is needed this year. They're coming outta the woodwork. Or perhaps at least an NL West thread

I know there are quite a few Giants fans on this board, probably CP's 2nd favorite MLB team after the Jays??
Perhaps we should just cut to the chase and start the 'Los Angeles is no good' thread. Unfortunately, they are pretty good so maybe just a 'I hate the Dodgers' thread instead.

Walking around CGY, I'd say I see the most caps for the following teams:
1. Jays
2. Red Sox, Yankees, Giants
3. Cardinals, Dodgers, Tigers
4. Cubs, Mets
5. Expos

Crazy example in the Giants game tonight how video review is not working. Cain picks off runner at first, but ump blows call. Bochy challenges and the video umps miss the clear tag. Challenge overruled so SF can't challenge again. AZ gets a player later sliding into the plate, Cain clearly tags him out, ump blows the call, and Bochy can't challenge.
There should be no limit on challenges where a run is in dispute.
MLB Fail
Replay challenge key in Giants' 5-4 loss

Seen a lot of Braves caps lately. Pretty classic dark blue with red, with the cursive A, they look good. Rangers I see a bunch of too.

Mariners are my favorite team, but the Giants are a team I always follow and like as well.
Ever since their World Series win. Just a great team to get behind.

Is it just me, or is anyone else getting intrigued by the potential playoff match ups that are developing?

LOL - a swarm of bees has invaded Chase Field and there is a beekeeper trying to control them.

Also, Lincecum needs to lose the mustache, and stop pitching to Goldschmidt. 6 HRs in 24 at bats.
