I've had a PS3 for a good 5 years, but most of the games I really enjoyed came out recently. Not going to bother with exclusive/not exclusive, just with good games.
Last of Us: No brainer. One of the best games I've ever played, full stop. The storytelling in that game is in the same realm as AMC/HBO style television. Really in depth, emotional, and well executed. It's certainly more of a "suspense" game rather than a horror game (it doesn't go through the typical cheap scares) but there are some genuinely frightening moments. You definitely get into the "survivor" mindset, just scraping to get by.
Far Cry 3: Loved the in depth play here. Kind of a mix between a FPS and RPG. The open world style is expansive, and you really learn to respect your environment immediately (I was killed by a wild boar two minutes in). The story ranges from Blood Diamond-esque to the oddly supernatural, and while silly at times, doesn't hinder the game experience at all. Capturing camps gets pretty fun when you get really into it, and side quests (like hunting a jaguar that also happens to be hunting you) are awesome. Just all around fun.
Hotline Miami: Reportedly based loosely off the movie Drive (VERY loosely) this game is way worth the download. It's an old school arcade vibe, but the story is such a trip and everything is so ridiculous that you'd be doing yourself an injustice not to try it. I still don't fully understand what was going, but it was fun. Honestly feels like a violent, neon drug-trip nightmare. So obviously, it's awesome.
GTA: Pick your poison. Doesn't really matter which game you pick up (5 is obviously the most in depth and well done, but 4 is great too) it's all pretty much the same. 5 is great for the heists, and the totally different experiences you get with the three characters. Probably don't need to explain much else, if you don't know what GTA plays like by now, you've been living under a rock.
Skyrim: If you've played any Elder Scrolls games before, you know what's up. The only real choice if you're looking for a medieval/fantasy set RPG. I mean, there ARE other choices, but you might as well just go with the best.
Dishonored: Another RPG style game. Not open world, but like Assassins Creed you have missions that you can accomplish in a variety of ways. Good stealth elements, very steampunk, overall fun.
Red Dead Redemption: Like GTA? Like Westerns? Cool, that about sums it up. Pretty compelling story and fun gameplay. It's quite literally GTA in every way if GTA were set in the old west, so if you like that sort of game I'd highly recommend it.
Others (in no particular order):
Journey
