Nope...

Zack Kassian has shown me nothing to prove he's great at anything regarding actually playing hockey in the NHL.

He's mediocre or worse as an NHLer for now.

Kassian with 4 primary assists. On goals by Richardson, Matthias, Weber and Booth so it's not like he's playing with good players. Impressive. It also says Henrik Sedin left the game; did anyone see what happened? Did he get creamed? GIF forthcoming?

Fairly confident getting points against the Sabres isn't that exciting.

no it was an innocent hit just a bad spot in the lower leg

he tried to skate it off and was shaking his leg for the shift then he went to the bench

Late in the 3rd, the Sabres have a grand total of 14 shots on goal. They are almost as bad as the Oilers! Pathetic.

Ducks about to get to 99 points. Am I the only one who just doesn't see it? I agree, they're a fairly good team, but I cannot get to a point where I rank them among the elite. They're not frauds like Colorado, but suffice it to say I won't be picking Getzlaf or Perry in my playoff pool.

I think he's a dirty rat. He's got nice offensive upside and skill and could become a great player one day but I don't like him very much at this point despite being a Leaf fan because of how cheap and dirty he plays at times.

i'd put them in the same class as San Jose... need to show it in the playoffs. I'd rank them below St.Louis/Boston/Chicago

I'm prepared to put San Jose with those teams, along with Pittsburgh and L.A. They're legitimately great at 5 on 5 and of those four might have the best special teams of the bunch. Boston and Chicago remain the class of their respective conferences but I'm not sure that there's much to choose between the others, on the whole.

And in a matchup between ANA and SJS I'm betting my house on the Sharks.

I'm confident that the ducks will be able to go deep in the playoffs

I might see what the odds look like but I'm strongly considering betting on them getting upset in the first round, along with the Avs.

EDIT: After just checking, if the playoffs started today it'd be COL vs CHI and ANA vs. LAK. Hahaha, yup, I'll take that bet.

No one besides the Senators have really cratered. Panthers haven't been great.

In their last 10:
Edmonton 5-4-1
Nashville 5-5
Carolina 5-5
NYI 4-5-1
Florida 3-6-1

Flames are 6-4. teams aren't tanking.

Leafs holding onto a playoff spot by a thread as everyone behind them has games in hand. It would make my week if they continue to tailspin their way out of the playoffs.

I would particularly like to see the Blue Jackets in the playoffs. Really liking Ryan Johansen's game, and that's the kind of team that even if they don't win a round can really make the powerhouses earn it. Also, if they got to play Boston, Horton playing against his old team would be fun. Unfortunately they missed a big opportunity tonight - how you can blow a game against the Islanders sans Tavares when you have a chance to take over 8th with games in hand would be really frustrating if I were a CBJ fan.
