Red Deer Rebels lost a tie breaker game here on Monday against the Prince Albert Raiders for 8th seed in the Eastern Conference for the WHL Playoffs.
My sons team, the Cam Clark Ford Dynamite Chiefs wrapped up their season last weekend here at the Red Deer Arena. His spring team has already started practicing and will have games coming up next month.

Luleå Hockey is currently involved in the SEL playoffs back home. Currently playing Växjö in the quarter finals and Växjö leads the series 2-1 after they wiped the floor with Luleå in the first two games. My boy then managed to claw one back in overtime yesterday and keep the series alive (They'd never recover from a 0-3 deficit in games). The win yesterday was Linus Omark's first win (in 6/7 attempts) after returning to the club where he turned pro.
Oh, and the University of Illinois hockey team fell to the Oklahoma Sooners in the ACHA championship.

The Yorkton Terriers of the SJHL finished their season 37-12-7 (top team in the league) and current lead their quarterfinal series 3 games to 1.

Well I was born and raised in Calgary so we all know how my hometown team is doing.
Currently living in Geneva though, home of the Swiss NL-A's Geneve-Servettes HC. Geneva finished fourth overall and just won their first round series against Lugano last night in a pretty tight 2-1 game that went to overtime and then shootouts. I was at the game, and I'm currently nursing the resulting hangover. Looking forward to seeing some more playoff hockey in the second round.
Interesting tidbit: Former Flame Matthew Lombardi is the top scorer for Geneva!

The Kelowna rockets are just finishing up a record season, lead by my boy Mad Bowey. Looking forward to catching a playoff game soon.

Lethbridge isn't THAT bad. It's a better city than both Medicine Hat and Red Deer.

Don't know how the Hamilton Bulldogs are doing.... I wish they would just leave so we could have some OHL hockey to cheer for

Is it though?
Those sweeping meadows, McDonalds as far as the eye can see, then, suddenly, a cool wind hits you like a ton of bricks. What's that? Ah, along with the majestic Lethbridgian wind comes along the sweet scent of fresh manure. Like a painting, almost.
When you're a man of the city, all those miniature cities just blend together. And Edmonton is like Jersey, so we ignore Edmonton completely.

Phoenix Coyotes... Although I hate their guts when we play them, I still enjoy going to other games to cheer for them when they are NOT against the Flames. A pretty decent team that I hope makes the 8th seed, and gives the Blues a run for their money.
Coyotes always bring the heat at the end of the season and in the first round of the playoffs. Between them and the Stars, I think the Blues would have a tougher time with the Coyotes. They can possible catch Minnesota for the 7th seed, but that won't matter. Anaheim and St. Louis are going to be tough.
EDIT: Forgot about the new playoff format, so the Coyotes are against either the Ducks or the Sharks, correct?

Cochrane Novice Tornado's won their final game but it was a "play out the string" game lol.
Cochrane Generals didn't make the playoffs.
PA Raiders won the right to be arse whipped by Edmonton lol. But good luck to them.
Calgary Flames are on their way to the playoffs babay....eventually.
