Would be really helpful to get into that top 4 slot, maybe the Islanders can pass us, but I doubt it. That's really the only hope.

Add Ottawa to this list, Hemsky has taught them all how to master Oilers defence in less than 10 games.

Canadian franchises have never been in a worse state, 6 of these teams really do suck it hard this year. Montreal is reasonable, but Toronto is a smoke and mirrors fraud, and the other 5 are downright bad.

Carolina and Ottawa are 4 and 5 points ahead of us respectively. I might add them if it gets closer.

Graph in post 1 is updated through todays games.

Edit, updated through Wednesday's games

Updated through tonights games.

Calgary and NYI in battle for 4/5. Oil Tankers might pass Florida in the 2/3 battle. Buffalo is a lost freakin' cause....

Almost getting to the point where it's extremely difficult to pass any of these teams ahead of the Flames. Even if the Flames go 5-3, these teams would have to go 2-6 for the Flames to pass them.

Unless something crazy happens in the remaining games the Flames will finish 26th or 27th and have the 1st or 4th or 5th or 6th draft position (Pending the lottery)

its funny, because Magnum's graph lacks the legend to allow us to identify which one the leafs are... or any team for that matter

Yeah, I shouldn't have quoted the whole pic. If you go to the site:

http://www.sportsclubstats.com/NHL.html

You can select the leafs and see their plummet.

Nice win by NYI tonight, but the Oil Tankers once again prove they are no good.

Graph updated with tonights games. That race between Florida and the Coilers reminds me of Tron.

Updated with tonights games. Added Carolina, but Winnipeg could come into play as well.

With the Isles all but guaranteed a victory tomorrow against the dumpster fire sabres, all we need to do to get 4th is not win.

I'd be a little more pleased to finish 4th, but if we can do to Vancouver what Edmonton did tonight, that's good as well.
