I was 20 at the time. Round 1 against Van I was living in Rez at UofC and it was tense as there were a lot of Nucks and Flames fans. At the start of the 2nd round i got an apartment in Kensington with my buddy and took the train to the red mile almost every game. It was the time of my life What a glorious time

The only time my ears have ever rang was game 3 against Vancouver. I have never heard the dome like that before. It was awesome. Great memories, and hopefully this rebuild will lead to another great run, only with one difference: we win.
I was in university at the time and I had a friend that I recently met who also was a diehard fan despite all the tough years leading up to it. I think it was in Nov or Dec, after I listened to a Flames-Avs game that finished with the Flames losing in OT after a high scoring affair that clearly favoured Colorado in shots, I told my friend how awesome our new goalie played and how I really had a good feeling about him. One of the most vivid memories of that year I had of that team, and how excited for them I was even though they were far from a favourite to be successful that year.
I still can't watch any video from that playoff year, nothing at all. In fact, it's the only year of Rockem Sockem I haven't watched. I own it, never opened it.
Time to get over it. Next thing we know we're going to be looking back at this in 30 years and realize that suddenly we've become our worst fear - living in the past just like Oiler fans.
Does any other NHL fanbase celebrate losing in a Stanley Cup final more than we do? Good lord this is starting to get embarrassing.

You must be a blast at parties.

Pretty much divorced my wife for two months and lived on my brothers couch (game days) which was a block and a half off "The Red Mile". And I am still making amends for my little "vacation" to this day.
Totally worth it.
