The Blackhawks hang on for the 2-1 regulation victory.

The Blues and Wild are tied 2-2 early in the third period. It was 2-0 for St. Louis after the first period and then the Wild tied it up in the second period with Moulson scoring the goal to tie it. Bryzgalov is in net for the Wild.

One thing the Oilers are great at from top to bottom...including broadcasters.

Some of the best bullshat artists ever.

That was one hell of a sucker punch by Nolan. He looked like he was pissed he was getting a call for mugging the Oiler in the scrum. Decided ok I'll give you something to call. Lost his temper and hit the guy in the jaw. Could be a suspension coming.

Oiler was mouthing something, probably said something inappropriate and was asking for it. Nolan doesn't usually do that kind of stuff.

Actually Nolan is kind of a cheap player. He's the master of the turtle too.

I know he's done stuff in Junior, but I've never seen him do anything remotely close to what he did tonight in the NHL. Has he ever been suspended in the NHL?

His junior incident was 4 years ago or more.

*should add, I do agree that he should be disciplined, just think something must have set him off. Would love to know what the Oiler said.

Just watching the highlight feeds on the Edmonton game, brutal. Edmonton letting the Kings run around. On the 3rd goal Ference throws the puck blindly out from the side of the net in his own zone right to an LA player. Are these guys even trying? Even if the team is not very good shouldn't they be focusing on "some" defensive aspects of the game! That team is so versed on how to give up and lose games it is hard to imagine the players ever learning how to win. I feel sorry for any player they draft as it is going to be the same old, same old merry go round next season!

I've always thought of Nolan as a guy who's a little unstable.

You obviously have no knowledge of a Swarm Defence. Eakins swears by it.

How great would it be for a player in this years draft like Ekblad to come out and say that try won't play for the oilers. I would LOVE that...

You know the shot count was high if you let in 4 goals and are named the second star. 50 shots against, by one of the last offensive teams in the league

How many times have the Oilers given up 50 shots this year? They can change goalies as much as they want but will never win with that horrible defence.

They would have to pull an "Eric Lindros" until they are traded.

I can still see Bettman pulling that Edmonton logo during the draft first, looking at it and loudly saying "Nope" and tossing it in a paper shredder.

The Oilers have gotten to the point that they're just embarrassing, yes yes they have bad coaching, but they have a core that has quit on two coaches in a row.

they need a rebuild on the hockey side, but they need a culture transplant and the only way to achieve that is to trade their so called young leaders.
