completely agree. there is absolutely no reason not to trade him unless you are re-signing him. i guess burke was the GM today that made the "crazy on deadline day" mistake.

Unless he is re-signed, which is highly doubtful, then this is a pretty big asset management mistake on Burke's part.
Feaster's asset management last deadline, as disappointing as it was, was FAR better than what Burke has done today.
Too bad. Missed opportunity!

Make fun of the return all you want, but at least Feaster got us something for Iginla.
Burke/Cammy had plenty of time to negotiate a deal. He shouldve been either signed by today, or shipped out by today. But this is kind of the worst outcome we could've had.

I would have been fine with Cammy re-signing here early in the season, but his play has fallen off so dramatically that I really don't want him here anymore.
I've always been a big Cammy supporter too.

If Vanek is in fact traded to Montreal (or anywhere) and Legwand went to Detroit, literally every other team did their job except for Burke.
