Well the Islanders could ask for a 1st but nobody was really falling for that as this guy isn't that good of a defenseman and even this deal is steep but you can never discount some of the cooky teams like the Flyers making trades out of left field.

The prices for players won't be as high as the media is suggesting. If Kesler ever moves, the price will be nowhere near what the media is saying.

I have never even heard of Andrew McDonald before until last month when the trade rumours started heating up. I don't undrestand why the Islanders wouldn't re-sign him even to triple his contract if he is really that good. The guy is only making $500K so why not offer him $1.5K? Not sure I understand why Garth Snow even tried trading the guy.

Don't know much about him.

His stats say he leads the league in blocked shots, and is having a career year for pts. He's a UFA at the end of the year, so it could end up being a costly rental if PHI can't re-sign him.
