Did you run a diagnostic on it? We had issues with our dishwashers once, I ran the diagnostic and it cleared up the error. It's usually pretty easy to find online.

You shouldn't be paying any extra money to have something that is brand new, work.
You should just tell Sears to come pick it up and shove it up their butt.
I'd guess you paid the plumber on top of the tech, and you still don't have a working dw. Sucks, I'd be pissed.

So try running it with the standard length hose, but have it drain into a large garbage can or something just to prove out if it is the length of hose issue or not.

Or just return the thing like others have said.

What model of Bosch? Ascentia? or a 300/500/800 series?

I ####ing hate sears so much. They always pull this BS because all of their external services are sub-contracts. It is constant finger pointing to assign responsibility.

In before CP crashes again...

Im in the same boat looking for a dishwasher - our price range is 450-650

Went to HD, found some that we liked that also come in white. Sales person wanst the most knowledgeable but was friendly.

Went to Trail and I never realized how pushy commision based salespersons can be. I will never go back there for any appliance in the future. We got approached 17 times in the hour we were there, we couldnt even find any peace in the so called "surplus" area. The one salesperson we actually spoke to we were looking at a $650 dw and the salesperson tried to sell us some $1650. He said why would you buy the Ford when you can buy the Porshe? I looked at him sort of in disbelief wanting to say aot of things but instead I said well we are buying this to wash dishes not give the impression to anyone that we are rich and we walked out.

Went to FS and easily the most knowledgeable and friendly sales person, told us why the 1200 Bosch is more expensive than the $550 and said dont expect anything more than 5-8 years use our of your Dishwasher.

Was going to go to Sears Home and Ikea but decided to leave that for another day.

Most knowledgable salesperson at FS! Wow. First time for everything.

I got ours from coast last year and had 1 good sales guy and 1 who I could see getting annoying fast. But I got a blomberg from them that I am very happy with. Not many places sell them, but it was in the price range you are looking for.

Strange, I've actually had really good experience with Sears and their sales and service. We had our Kitchenaid start leaking water and they had their own contractors that can handle the work. Maybe it depends on the brand you get.

My grandma just had to replace her dishwasher after 45 years. 45 years. With the same dishwasher. It was a maytag.

It's weird because I've heard a couple people had issues with their Bosch. I thought they were a higher end name and high quality

If you like Bosch, don't forget that Lowes carries Bosch (right through their 800 series) but often has big sales. I got a $1200 model for $600 on one of their sales. Wheeled it out and installed it myself. Easy peasy. So glad I didn't have to deal with a greasy salesman who makes me feel honored to get 5% off.

Sounds like that salesman is a total idiot. You get zero commision when you piss a customer off and they walk out the door. I have bought a lot of appliances over the past few years, and have found that doing researce online before you head to the store makes things a lot easier. That way you kind of know what to look for in the price range you're interested in. You can ask informed questions and understand what the sales person is talking about. Makes the whole process less stressfull.

I haven't been into The Brick for years simply because of their sales team

Maybe you could have made your own joke in those 8 hours. Give the people what they want.

I tried to do as much research online as I could. Trail's website is terrible and one of the reasons we were going there is because my wife heard on the radio they were having a "home show" sale. Red flag number 1 I guess.

For us we have to go to the store to see the dishwasher as my wife wants one where the spinners have large water holes and not small ones. Its extremely difficult to see that online and thats if there is a good picture of the water distribution mechanisms.

I will go to Lowes, they arent convenient to where we live but if they carry Bosch then it might be worth the trip.

Yes obviously you need to look. I'm lucky because my wife doesn't work, so she does hours of research online and filters it down to a couple of choices for us. Then we head to the store to take a look and see if it's what we actually want.

Don't be intimidated by salesman. All you have to do is tell them you are just looking. If you do need information, ask for one.
