An easy event for them to add would be synchronized skating since it would require no new venues. I have seen petitions floating around to get in introduced.

I would also love to see crashed ice make it into the Olympics at one point.

I really enjoy synchro skating. A lot of precision going on there.

Honestly, I'm quite surprised speed skiing isn't back, considering precautions have been taken in current course designs and added security measures have made it so people aren't dying. =p

If it's not a real enough sport to make it in the X-Games I don't think you'll ever see it in the Olympics. Besides that's a real big and expensive course to make for a single event, whereas the slope style stuff and bobsled tracks are used for many different events

Ski Cross isn't in the X-games anymore. The X-games isn't a good indication of if an event is a real sport.

I'm not expecting crashed ice to make the Olympics anytime soon, but it is exciting. It does have it's own world tour this year with 4 events, 2 in Europe and 2 in North America. I do agree it is at least a couple Olympic cycles away from being considered.

Regarding the Course, the Moguls course is made for only 2 events (moguls mens and womens), Until this year the half pipe was made for only snowboard halfpipe. A Crashed Ice course costs $3-5 million to construct. That hardly breaks the bank on an Olympics budget (Source: http://www.niagarafallsreview.ca/201...e-taking-shape )
