So is Andrew Chang. I've never seen him on anything before, but Andrew and Andi work well together.

So, with all the cancellations and postponements, is there nothing going on live right now?

That's what I love about the Summer Olympics, there is literally a dozen things going on at all times. Just think of all the events as Canadians we never see (sailing, badminton, table tennis, rugby, field hockey, etc). The only real negative is there is no hockey; the two weeks we get for them every four years is the best sporting event there is.

I definitely prefer winter over summer. Not even because of hockey, I actually have yet to catch a game.

I just haven't found summer sports that entertain me as much as freestyle skiing, short track skating and curling do.

As a fan of sport in general, it's easy to see that the Summer Games provide a much more consistent level of entertainment. Beach volleyball by itself is worth the price of admission.

As a Canadian sports fan, I'll take the Winter Games any day of the week, and twice on Sundays. Take out NHLers in hockey, or even hockey altogether, and I'll have the same opinion. Just so much easier to get behind Candians in curling, speed skating, skiing than swimming, diving, trampoline and the like.

I don't think there will be a tie-breakeri n the women's curling. I think Japan will lose because their last game is versus Sweden, and Switzerland vs. China will be the game that determines who makes the playoffs.

With China defeating GB to move to 7-2, the standings end up:

1. Sweden (8-1)
2. Canada (7-2)
3. China (7-2)
4. Norway (5-4)
5. GB (5-4)

I haven't been able to watch a lot of the draws due to work, but from what I understand Canada finished 2nd due to beating China in their match. Norway and Great Britain will play a tiebreaker match to decide who faces Sweden in the other semi.

Please, Kelekin or whoever correct me if this is wrong.

Also, again not able to watch live, but wow. USA up 3-0 on Sweden in the first period and CBC has the shots at 26-0....

Yeah, the only inaccuracy there is that Norway and GB would be listed as T-4, not 4th/5th. They'll have a tiebreaker to figure out who will be in the playoffs.

This means Canada will face China in the semi-finals. I still feel that on paper this is the best possible scenario for Canada, though China being 7-2 is just utterly surprising.

USA outshot Sweden 70-9. No wonder nobody likes women's hockey. Europe needs to get competitive, and fast or this sport will be gone.

Travis Gerrits qualifies for the final in Men's Aerials for Canada.

Tight battle for Bronze. 3rd through 6th within a tenth and a half, Canada in the mix, at least.

Since I enjoy watching women's hockey and have attended two World Championships, that disproves your "nobody".

For whatever reason, Sweden's team has gotten much worse over the last decade. I mean, Russia beat them in the round robin, which would have been a real upset in the past. And they only won 1-0 over Japan, which in the past would have been a blowout. Most countries have gotten better while Sweden has taken a step backwards.

Canada 3 made up 0.14 seconds on the Americans in run #2. They'll have to repeat that, or close to it. 0.09 second outside of the podium currently. All it takes is one small lapse in concentration.

Definitely. 0.09 seconds isn't much of a margin for error. Canada could easily move up into the bronze medal position in run 4.

Yeah. Plus they have to fend off Latvia and Russia 2.
