Great run from Joss. Pretzel'd the f*** out of the rails. Saving his triple for finals perhaps. Bow and arrow double though.

Second run about to start... ABM will be back for his last shot at getting to finals. If he lands his run, he should get in no problem, but that's a big "if" under this kind of pressure. And the course is getting slushy.
EDIT: He's next.

ABM lands a somewhat toned-down version of his run, should be enough to get him through to finals.

Doing a truck driver? What does he think he is, Russian?
Solid enough run though. I thought 85 was going to be the cut-off point going into the event and he's just above that, although it might be a bit lower with the way those first runs were.

Yeah, that's not his run though. He has two gears above that one. Thing is a lot of guys look pretty skittish about their runs.
The real question I have is whether Harlaut can stick his run... I'm positive Goepper will get through and pretty confident on Brown.
Poor Luca Schuler... guy weights 103 pounds, was always gonna have trouble with speed.
As for cut off, I'm thinking 80 or so. There are 12 spots.

Does this course give the ability to go a couple gears above though? The snow seems to be getting softer by the minute.

It does, yes. It's just going to be tough to land.

Goepper made it. That genie grab double is my favourite trick in this event right now.
EDIT: Man, if Oscar lands that he's near the top. Very tech rail section up top and a nice bow and arrow kangaroo flip to boot.

Hey that American didn't have any poles.
Kinda reminds me of that old "aerials" thing they used to do (or maybe they still do it). For something that is, apparently, so "style-influenced", he just looked kinda goofy.
So they don't have to carry poles if they don't want to?

He broke his wrist a month or so ago.
And no they don't have to. Sometimes it impacts your score because it can make tricks look worse, especially if it makes you look like your hands are all over the place.

Bobby's run was awesome, not super difficult but went absolutely huge and incredibly smooth.

Good call. Done.
Announcer misses the fact that Russ did two nose butter doubles on that run.
Please note: Andreas Hatveit and Henrik Harlaut are the guys who are constantly in competition for "happiest dude on the mountain".

People will fall, but they won't come up short like the women were (i.e. Yuki Tsobota). Longer skis and more weight plus cleaner landings = more speed. Course is in a bit better shape as well.
Gus went absolutely massive on that run. He has a triple and guarantee he throws it in finals.
Note; announcer is wrong; that wasn't a butter, Jossi just likes to carve off the lip of the jump. Looks really cool. The other Wells brothers do much the same.

Henrik should be in, thankfully. Wouldn't be as much fun without him.
I swear they took that long just to keep him on camera. Hahahaha.
