Sure you're not thinking of Marc-Andre Bergeron or Marc-Antoine Pouliot or another hyphenated named Oiler reject?

Wow. Sucks for PMB. Though they could call him up.

I think teams can retain salary on up to 2 players at a time.

Right, so how much did buffalo eat of vaneks cap? Because if I am reading what sure loss posted correctly, the isles cannot eat any cap off of vaneks contract when they try to move him. Which would leave his cap hit exactly where ATM?
|
No you can retain salary twice. So Vanek could have the Islander's retains some salary as well.
The fact the Islanders rid themselves of some of Bouchard's contract might mean they are planning something else.

doesn't this mean the Isles can't retain any salary in any other trades?
Edit already know I'm wrong, its 3 my mistake

I was wondering if I was the only one that noticed that almost every single one of his posts had something to do with the oilers......

Why do you think so?
They can have 3 players on the books they've retained salary on. That's only two?
I assume Vanek doesn't count since it's Buffalo retaining salary.

should have 1 more slot. Bouchard and Regin are the only ones the Isles have retained salary for.
Vanek doesn't count because it is Buffalo retaining the salary on his contract.

As for the deal, it is really too bad about PMB. Such a promising offensive player, too bad it got derailed. Kinda hoping he can make it back, but have my doubts he ever plays another NHL game.

The 'Hawks have been trying to fill a hole at #2 Center to play with Kane, as Handzus just doesn't have the wheels to keep up. It is clear that Q doesn't like Pirri's defensive game. So Regin or Bouchard may each get a tryout to see if one of them will have chemistry with Kane.

My money is on PMB putting together a good run with the Hawk, as long as he is not concussed and healthy he is one hell of a play maker when he is on his game.

Sounds like there's a Teuvo-sized hole in the lineup. Two points per game since U20.

Magnus Paajarvi-Svensson?
Jeff Drouin-Deslauriers?
Ryan Nugent-Hopkins? (although not a reject, yet)
Jean-Francois Jacques?
Add in Bergeron and Pouliot and maybe you've got the reason to why Edmonton is so bad. They keep thinking they're drafting/bringing in two players at a time! Wonder how hard MacT is scouting PLLLLLLLL.
