Ham-hock shouldn't be on the team anyway, good news.

Umm... no.
Giordano is not better than Seabrook. And I'm a huge Giordano fan.

Holy s###! 4th concussion? And now hes thinking about things? I was making jokes before, but I didnt realize that this has been an almost annual theme for him.

I really can't understand why this keeps getting brought up. Keith and Doughty were the best defensive pair 4 years ago. They're going to get another shot together.

As mentioned before, Doughty has taken Seabrook's spot with Keith since the last Olympic event. So if Seabrook is to get the invite, it'll be based purely on his play versus Gio, with a slight handicap of being a RH.

Doughty and Keith were the best pairing in 2010 and I'm sure they'll be together again. Seabrook won't make it because they are going with 4 LH and 4 RH guys, Seabrook is not good enough to push out Doughty, Weber, Pietrangelo or Subban.

Bias aside, I think this is Hamhuis third concussion in 18 months. I think they should turn him off for 2 weeks.
That said, Seabrook won't be playing with Keith. Giordano is better than Seabrook and as such should be the next one to slot in.

I thought Seabrook was stapled to the bench in 2010?
Same coaching staff. If they don't wanna play him, the selection committee won't pick him.

Feel bad for hamuseless, but hope Gio can make the team. He is a better option than seabrook for sure, considering he wasn't even paired with Keith last time around.

Feel bad for Hamhuis. As much as I hate the Canucks, he seems like a great guy and has been a solid player for years now. I didn't have an issue with him beating out Gio, but if he can't go then Gio should be there. Seabrook's 2010 performance won't do him any favours for the guys picking a possible replacement.

Probably more likely he misses now, hopefully Gio gets the call.

A man pain! Well, I'm sure he doesn't want to get any more hurt down there. Don't let the injury spread! Time to call it a day and let somebody else go. Think of your sex life Hamhuis!

I cannot believe how many flames fans are underrating Giordano and suggest that Seabrook is the better replacement. It was already noted that Gio was the next on the list ahead of Seabrook. Even HF agrees that Gio is more deserving than Seabrook.
Name one area of this sport that Seabrook is better than Giordano. Please, I'm curious and drawing blanks here.

Seabrook is better at coughing up pucks to opposition.

Seabrook is better at riding off the coat tails of his D partner.

Seabrook is just fine, but with the season Giordano is having I don't think anyone can make a logical case for Seabrook over him.
Giordano is a different beast this year and anyone who's watched semi-closely can't argue that. If anybody else deserves to head to Sochi based on their play this year it's Giordano, and it's completely unbiased to say that.
