lol, yeah the coverage for Americans is really horrid. We're pretty lucky up here to see everything (well, a lot of things, anyway) live instead of waiting until 'prime' time.
Gotta agree, it's always glad to see live sporting events at 11 at night, but these guys just aren't "athletes" in my view. More great riders in a recreational sport.
Touch the Russian nesting doll for bonus points! lol
So who is through? CBC's site is really poor at explaining. I see the french guy in the Qualifications with the insane score but I don't see him in the semifinals.

8 people qualified right from the QF, all the ones who didn't competed in these semi-finals with the top 4 going through.
Parrot and Toutant were already through, now McMorris is joining them.

for those who haven't seen the CBC/Radio-Canada opening, here it is
I always love the CBC Opening not only for the theme music but also for the the subtle respect for the host nation. There is no doubt where these games are and past games openings have had writing and symbols in Japanese, Chinese, Greek, Italian and now Russian. You'd have to watch it many times to catch all the background text behind the graphics
And they can play this theme many different ways unlike I Believe which was pretty generic.

Love the tune as well. I think they also did have writing and symbols in French and Korean.
