Seems like several lifetimes ago.
Now that's a blast from the past. I'd almost forgotten about all those bright colours!

What a waste of a good start the 2001 season was!

Amazing to reflect on all the highs and lows we have experienced together on CP. Still visit the site as often as I can, especially for the game takes, funny picture thread, and current events discussions.

Ten years for me too, last month. I spend way too much time here but getting on, in helps keep me sharp or sharper.

This is like the Grammy awards! Everyone patting themselves on the back. Just kidding. I've only been here a year and it's an amazing community. I'm so impressed. Especially during the floods and when John Tortorella tried to come into the flames dressing room to say hi.

"Flames lose 4 straight"....... Doesn't seem that long ago

I'm still angry it took me 2 years to find this place. 2 years wasted on HF.

It's hard to believe it's been 10 years already. This is a site I check daily, use for not only Flames information but general news and discussions.

I love the varying opinions, and experiences here. I trust this site for information and advice on pretty much everything.

Hard to believe I've only met one poster in my 10 years posting here (although understandable given my location).

Here's to another 10, and a Flames championship in that time.

Thanks again.
I'll be home in late june for a wedding, PM me your number. I'll call ya "bye" and buy ya a beer don't you know!

God! I was a part of that one too, back in 1999-2000. cal-flames@plaidworks.com was the adress (had to look in my old e-mail account). Marc Ciampa and Alan Caldwell was two of the main contributors.

And have been on this (the original FoI) board for 14 years, I think. Mostly lurking these years, tho ...

After you met me you figured there is no point in meeting any other CPers. You started at the top and can only go downhill from here. My 10 year anniversary was back in December, I also can't believe how much time flies.

Over the past few years I had some personal tragedies that CP has really supported me through, I'd like to say thanks again to everyone.

The endless hours of entertainment CP has provided is unrivaled. I will never forget such things as the old Hale Storm prank calls to The Fan 960 (hence my user title), the CPHL, Funny Pics thread, Wannamaker, Snotboy, ThePresident, jhunt223/Bronzel, Ren's pubes, plus so much more (that's just what came off the top of my head).

Thanks for 10 years and here's to the next ten!

I think I'm about 13 years into my run here and its been great. I've had one extended break which was tough because of my combative nature.

As as it sounds with the primary focus being the Calgary Flames this board has seen more bad times then good times since I've been here and yet Calgary Puck continues to grow and flourish and become habit forming.

We are literally the blow of the Internet, all we need is a "dating site" attached and we'll have the hookers and blow portion of the hockey world cornered.

I think you have contributed some great things to the board and as a long time member I thank you for the GDT, the old movie trivia (spent many hours on those) and of course my Avatar. I can't remember when I changed it but it's been the same forever it seems.

It's funny how much this board has evolved and the popularity it has. I also find it amusing that as the join dates get newer the post counts go up. There's people that have been on here a quarter the time I have and have 3X as many posts.

I too was on the old alt..... boards. I believe I went as Buff back then too. Marc Ciampa is around on CP still, but under a different username. I dont' know whatever happened to Alan Caldwell, I enjoyed his triva.

Remember HungryLion? That guy trolled so hard, it was actually entertaining. I also remember RM... who was mostly from the Leaf's group, but he also trolled hard. "Cordialy, as always, RM" or his reply to all the top posters"Top posting. Deleted. Unread.".

I stuck around on that old forum until the playoff run. I stayed away for silly reasons, some CP user came along and told us that we all sucked for not posting on CP, so I stayed away for a couple of years, as a poster. I lurked during that time and made it official at the beginning of the 2004 playoff run.

Wow. 10 years this year.

13 years here... I think my first post was the day we traded for Roman Turek. Funny, if you would have asked me if I thought I'd still be posting here the day I made my first post.....

I started posting giving updates of Tim Ramholt who was playing for the CB Eagles at the time. The following year the Flames drafted his junior teammate Adam Pardy, so I continued giving updates (hence the name Maritime Q~Scout).

If I had to put money on which of the two would have an NHL career and be playing 10 years later I would have said Ramholt hands down. No way did I think that Pardy would still be an NHL defenseman. I didn't think he'd get a whole lot more than a cup of coffee or at the most an entry level contract.

On the other hand Ramholt had a cup of coffee and went back to Europe.

Today the team doesn't really draft out of the Q, and looking at the Eagles schedule I appear to have missed when Gatineau was in town so no QMJHL Updates until next year I suppose. I suppose I could get the Eagles new play-by-play man to give a solid update of how he played in Gatineau for me (their new play-by-play guy is one of my oldest and friends). Heck, as I think while I type I'll start a thread on the main forum (or prospect form) with the link to the game to have a listen when it rolls around.

Additionally, T@T I'll PM you my cell number, text me when you're in town and we'll grab a beer.

HD, you are the sole poster I've met, and I can honestly say that I love the fact I'm not the only one living in Nova Scotia who is a Flames fan. Every time we get together it's so weird to talk to someone else who is a big fan of a team that I'm a fan of.
