I wish him all the best personally but hopefully he can go to a new team next year and win the Cup.
I would love to see Iggy win the Cup and he certainly deserves it but can't cheer for him this year on that scumbag Bruins team.
Hopefully the sting of being swept in the first round this year spurs him on to have a great year next season while winning the Cup with an acceptable team.

Totally!! Iggy winning a cup this year would be a disaster. Maybe you should send Iggy a list of your acceptable teams to avoid this possibility in the future.

I think you'll see Iggy go past 30. I think he'll go on a tear before the Olympic break, rest up, and then go on a tear through the end of the season and into the playoffs.
When he gets hot he'll score every game (or so it seems)

I hope he does. But the thing is, the scoring is spread pretty much evenly with all lines' top scorers. I'd be surprised to see a 30 goal scorer coming out of Boston. The Bruins reminds me of the Devils back in the late nineties where they don't score a lot of goals and they have not one 40-goal scorer, but they win a lot of games and they can win championships. It'd be awesome if Iggy continues his 30+ goals full-season streak.
I think he can easily get 25 goals before the end of the season, 30 might be pushin' your odds with only 18 games left on the Bruin's schedule. But with how hot he has been lately and playing with a really good team that can feed him the puck, he is perfectly capable of doing it. Really hope he does, that would be amazing.
He looks prettying damned good in a Bruins jersey.
I feel like I'm finally at that stage with an ex where you're both with somebody else, and are totally happy for each other...
Also, I remember there was a lot of discussion around CP about the possibility of him potting 600 goals. Looks like he'd have to keep playing until 40 years old to have a shot at that...

I guess then the Penguins were that 'rebound guy' who is a complete d-bag.
Eventually found his way to the Bruins, who are a much better fit, utilizing him to his full capabilities. We now see it's probably what was best all along, sad as it may be.
I would be really surprised if Iggy doesn't hit 600. He'll likely go into next season at age 37 with only 45 goals to go. 600 could happen near the end of his 38-year-old season. I'll be cheering him on the rest of the way!

I like the Bruins a lot more than the Pens, and I hope if Iginla wins a Cup, he is a full season contributor to that team (like he is this season).
It always seems a little cheaper when the player is a rental and wins a Cup or when the player whores around to different teams looking for the best chance to be carried to the Cup.

I think he won't retire until he's 40ish... Even if he wins a cup before that.
Iggy won't play that long if he doesn't get the large $$, I really don't see him playing for under 4 mil per, he'll be looking for a 3-4 year contract after this season for about that amount IMO.
With the cap not going up as much as expected not many teams would offer him that, I know one that might!

You don't think teams would give him $4 million a year? I think teams would be lining up for Iginla at $5 million. second in team points and one behind the goal leader. He is still producing and brings leadership. Also second in all forwards in plus/minus.
The man will get plenty of offers this summer if he doesn't re-sign in Boston.
