sorry, the last prospect that I recall playing the Doug Gilmour game was Daniel Tkachuk.

My question for the Ekblad supporters is how is he distinguishable from Victor Hedman, who had equally as much hype his year?

I'm still hoping we pass on the big DMan, or someone picks him ahead of us. Just not that impressed by him, and would much rather have one of the two centers.

On McKenzie mid-season's draft rankings last night they were comparing Bennett to Gilmour who is the GM of Kingston and selected him in the OHL draft.
He even wears 93.

Button rated him 4/5 on everything except competitiveness which was 5/5

He compares very similarly to him. Which is a good thing, considering how well he has played in Tampa this year. He's a big reason why they are at the top end of the eastern conference. I think it's unrealistic to expect a defenseman to jump from junior to the Nhl and have him be an impact player within the first couple years. The closer to your own net, the more refined a players game has to be.

I've said before that I see Bennett and Monahan as comparables. Last year, Button gave Monahan a very similar rating, except with IQ being 5 instead of competitiveness.
