So how does the loan portion work? Do we get Locke for a while until the Wolves don't need Cundari anymore and then we get him back?

What the hell happened to him. He was awesome at the end of last year with the Flames; we all had him pencilled in for a spot on the Flames' blueline last summer. I am dissapoint.

I think the "on loan" thing just identifies the fact he's not a prospect of the Wolves' NHL affiliate.

From a Flames perspective, it pretty much means he isn't worth developing within their system. Aka... bye bye.

Cundari can only play for the Wolves for the rest of the season. Flames can call him up to the NHL if need be, but as far as AHL he will only play for the Wolves.

2/2 Anderson: "We're trying to get someone up here who can really quarterback (PP) the way we want it to be done." #chicagowolves #stlblues

1/2 #ChicagoWolves coach John Anderson said trade was made to improve "sputtering power play," which ranks last in 30-team #AHL. #stlblues

With Locke gone, the #ChicagoWolves still have six veterans on the roster after receiving Adam Cracknell from #stlblues earlier in the day.

He only had 10 points? Billins has 31.

The comments make him sound rather valuable... but not in the Flames' eyes... too small for Burke?

He was scoring at .312 PPG.

Sven is currently at .307 PPG.

REBUILD IN TATTERS.

Billins pretty much makes Cundari expendable.

Locke is being brought in to help fill the holes left on the Heat by Blair Jones, Ben Street, and Paul Byron being in the NHL.

I think he is valuable to an AHL team, but not much value for the NHL. It's not like we got a legit prospect back in trade/loan.

Edit: saying that, Cundari is going to get lots of time on the PP. Maybe it helps his game and shows Burke he is still worth keeping in flmaes system. I think its a long shot though.

Lousy training camp and a bad season start, makes me think his off season training was lacking.

Granlund scoring at a .757 clip, rebuild back on track.

I assume its just to help the morbid Heat offense... could also be a sign that Street isn't going back down anytime soon. They need forwards who can put up points if Street isn't going to be down there.

Cundari's shot to make the team was this year and he showed up out of shape (per Feaster)... with Wotherspoon/Ramage/Billins in the system now he's moved way down the depth chart.

if Street isn't going anywhere, does that mean that when Cammy is healthy he'll be traded or another guy will be sent down or someone else will be traded?

Don't worry, the same group who had Cundari pencilled in for a spot on the Flames can replace him with our next absolute-sure-thing, Pat Sieloff.
