Very excited to see the game tonight. Will be interesting to see how Virtanen stacks up. He started off the season slow but has been much better as of late.

Listening to Aaron Ekblad on hockey central on SportsNet. My god does he sound like a 30 year old vet. Not only does he say the right things, but his mannerisms and calmness make him sound so mature. Would love to have that type of guy in the dressing room
Edit: and his voice is not that of an 18 year old

It's really going to sting to see him in an Oilers jersey

Anyone else think it's pretty cool that Paul Reinhart gets to coach his own son for the game.

Not unlike Sean Monahan.
Eckblad definitely has that steady and boring-in-a-good-way personality that you want in a defenseman.

Nowhere near as serious or bland as Monahan though. Honestly sounded like he could've just been some buddy of mine and I'm 34

Ekblad, Draisaitl, Reinhart, and Dal Colle in the spotlight tonight.
Interested to see who stands out most, and in what order.

I said it once and I will say it again Aaron Ekblad can grow a beard at a Shea Weber level.

At 16/17 to boot. Did he hit puberty at 6 years old? My god

Really like Ekblad. Very mature. Well-spoken. Have a chat with him over at THW publishing in the morning.
Heard not a lot of tickets were sold. Weekday Hitmen games do okay. This hasn't got that hook. Lots of scouts, not sure lots of fans.

Looking at the Ticketmaster interactive map, looks like it's about 3/4 full? They only seem to be selling tickets to the 1st and 2nd tier, so im sure it will be fairly full in the sections that are open.
I bought tickets in the high 1st tier for 28 bucks, so thats a pretty decent deal.

Imagine his beard if he makes it to the SCF's... That would be awesome.. Especially in a Flame's uniform
