That has to be the easiest assist Crosby has gotten in his career.

Not really, he outbattled Gordon on the faceoff.

Gee what a surprise! Oilers will get an OT powerplay. I swear no team gets more PP' s in OT than the Oilers.

There we go, they win in OT. Oilers getting points is good for our pick and their status quo.

canucks eke out a win over the Blues. They are a good team but a notch below the top teams in the West. A great effort from them and a poor effort from the Blues and its still a tight one goal win.
Also good to see the Oilers win. Hopefully they pass the Flames in the standings soon.

I was at the Blues game... They dominated the 1st period... They were clearly tired in the 3rd though, losing all races to the puck.
I don't see the Blues ever, so someone correct me if I'm wrong, but why do the Blues rely on Sobotka in their top 6?? He's tiny and doesn't do much offensively.
Unless the Blues make a drastic move, I don't see them beating LA, ANA or CHI... They just don't have any high-end offensive players...no one that the other team has to key in on... Like Toews, Kane, Kopitar, Getzlaf, Perry, etc.
They remind me of the Devils teams from 10 years ago or whatever... But they don't have Brodeur.

Sounds like the Blues could use a ...oh, I don't know, a Cammalleri.

Canucks played terribly tonight. Neither team wanted to win.

The Oilers are 15-27-5.
Tonight was pretty much their Stanley Cup. Good for them.

Oilers games are a win win right now, if they win they can finally pass us in the standings but if they lose it just adds to the hilarity.

And we're only 7 points out of last place. One point up on the oilers and we can't score goals. Seems like other teams are starting to progress (even a little) while the flames regress. We might actually get that #1 pick if they keep this up

Last night was a perfect window into what's wrong with the Oilers. The momentum in that game swung around completely the instant Malkin went out there and acted like a punk. You could tell Edmonton wanted to shove his face in it.
They have the talent, but the motivation and killer instinct don't show up unless someone on the other team tries to show them up or does something stupid. Might want to work on that.
