The Roughnecks were by far the better team last night - Richards kept the Stealth close most of the night - if he gets a clean look at a shot he saves it.

The Riggers are 2-2 - same as last year despite the fact that Curtis Dickson has had a very slow start. If he gets going - the offense will start to pile up big totals. I think the defense is still adjusting to the reduced roster - their system is very active and requires more running than other systems. I think they are making adjustments to allow the team not to get gassed - but it is taking some time to get used to it. Mike Carnegie did a fantastic job on Rhys Duch last night though.

There is more depth than ever in the league though - so I think we will see most teams hover around .500 most of the season - there just isn't much separating any of the teams.

It really is a great sport - if you are already into it - bring a friend or two to the next game and get them hooked too.

Ya, the transition always seems to leave us on the wrong end of a 3 on 1.

Is it just me, or did Mike "Five Hole" Poulin seem more disinterested that usual in net? Looked awfully lethargic on some of those goals, especially compared to the Stealth' tender....damn was that guy zoned in last night. Hopefully it was the back-to-back nights; I haven't seen any other games this year to compare.

I missed last night, but he seemed normal on the home opener. Which is to say, gave up a couple softies, but also made the big saves when needed.

Went to my first game on the 18th there and loved it! Don't understand the ins and outs really but the crowd was into it and love the encouraged rowdiness. Plus it's a lot more exciting (and cheaper) than the Flames this year!

Already bought tickets for this Saturday's game as well.

Welcome aboard. It will take only a few games to understand the basic rules as there just aren't that many that are implemented during a typical game.

Another exciting games last night with the Roughnecks losing to John Grant Jr. and the Mammoth 14-13 in OT.

Roughnecks were playing from behind for most of the game which is never good. However they did score 12 goals which resulted in 5 free wings for everyone.

I find myself watching him exclusively when he's out there sometimes. He is just an amazing talent.

Curtis Dickson is now the franchise leader in shorthanded goals with 13 in his career after potting one last night in a 15-13 win over Minnesota. He has one more than Tracey Kelusky. He also had 4 other goals, along with 1 assist. Shawn Evans quietly did his thing dishing out 8 assists. Also the most complete offensive game so far, four of the five starters finished with six points or more.

when you look at Edmonton right now, the Roughnecks defensive game isn't close... they give up far too many goals... good to see them win but they need to score 13-15 each night to have a chance

Long ways to go, need to sustain this and beat the Rush. Not to mention, regular season success doesnt mean much anymore.

Calgary 11 Rochester 10

Wow, sure didn't deserve that win but take the ugly ones when you can. Once again they dig out of a terrible first quarter hole.

Any season ticket holders? Come to section 115 tonight to get your ticket signed by the guy on the ticket. He's bringing a sharpie.

Calgary 19 Toronto 13

'Necks jump out to a 7-0 lead in the first quarter then sat back and coasted to a win. If this team ever played 60 minutes no one could touch them.

^Lacrosse by its nature is a game of streaks. The effort was good for all 60 but most teams in the NLL have high end weapons. You aren't going to dominate the Rock the entire game with guys like Billings and LeBlanc. Biggest difference was the tending

Ya the Rock have a lot of fire power; Poulin made some great stops to blank em in the first. Only noticed a few brain farts so they played pretty good for most of the game.
