Forsberg is a strong player, can't believe Nashville got him for Erat.

The Vancouver anthem guy should learn something from this Swedish guy... keeping it at reasonable level and not making a show of himself.

Russian player cross-checking Swedish player after the final horn started the brawl. Good for the Swedish players standing up against it.

Swedish Sundquist injured after that nasty cross-check at the buzzer and you guys complain about Pettersson standing up for him? Ridiculous.

Great game...very entertaining. I am an avowed Russian hater, but I have to give them kudos on todays game as they certainly were the best team today and deserved a better fate, but thats hockey.

Again, never seen a Russian squad work that hard and not rely solely on their skill level. Good coaching job.

No suspensions in that scrum? I would be ok with that pretty gutless move by that Russian player

sundqvist apparently injured after hit from russian player when the game is over. Why is Hfboards only complaining about petersson?

Oh, you're back for the annual bitch-fest about Canada to a Canadian Message board.

What does Canada have to do with the IIHF making a decision on a player in a game they didnt play in?

Put away the tinfoil dude.

Oh and for the record? Leaving the box after the game, jumping a guy from behind, and then suckering him is a suspension for ANY player from ANY country.

Good grief.

Expecting Canada to steam roll over us again like always. Oh well, hopefully we at least play a good game.

is the reason you don't post this on hfboards is because you will get banned? or are you just trying to pick a fight with posters on this board?

but the russian boarding the swedish player at the buzzer is ok?

I hope canada loses the final tomorrow. You're all a bunch of hypocrites. Sweden is the best junior country these days. Bye not gonna visit this board again.

He only got a 2 min penalty. And rightly so. Russia had 6 guys on the ice, Sweden 4, one of which lied lifeless on the ice. Pettersson coming to help after being let out of the penalty box is hardly suspension worthy. The russian dropped the gloves first even.
