One very awesome thing about this draft is that there are a bunch of quality defensemen that are in the 6-2 range height wise and are decent at both ends of the ice. All of these guys are all players that should be available in the 25-65 range in the draft, so if we add a 2nd, and a late first by moving Stajan, and Cammalleri then use those picks in addition to our 2nd and 3rd on defensemen,
You have guys like these that should be available from 25-35 (any late 1st + our 2nd)
Brycen Martin (6-3)
Jack Dougherty (6-2)
Jack Glover (6-3)
Josh Jacobs (6-2)
Julius Bergman (6-1)
and these guys that could fall anywhere in the 30-65 range)
Jacob Middleton (6-3)
Brandon Prophet (6-2)
Markus Petterson (6-3)
There are a handful of other guys as well that are 5-11 or 6-0 as well.
One thing that's odd about this draft is there seems to be a large amount of wingers at the top end of the draft (top 20) and a large amount of centers from 21-60.
If the Flames could add one of Dal Colle, Reinhart, or Bennett (I doubt they'll have the opportunity for Ekblad with the Oilers ahead of them) and say 2 or 3 of the guys above, we could start having the foundation of both a high end forward group and a defense corp that could have some decent players in it.
