LaBarbera is a low risk move, and the Blackhawk puck possession style is very goalie friendly...how else could Emery go 17-1?...I expect that Khabibulin IS finished, and there is no confidence in Kent Simpson at the top level, yet. When CC returns, Raanta is going to need to play, so I see him headed back to the Rock, and LaBarbera will get the occasional game with the 'Hawks, but spend most of his time glued to the bench.

Sid...I think they want LaBarbera to get a couple games under his belt in the AHL, before swapping him with Simpson on the respective rosters...

For those who wondered about Macdonald, he showed up to camp out of shape, with a legit shot at being a #1 goalie. As soon as the flames felt that Ramo and Berra could carry the load, he was gone.
