He was very good with the Hitmen. Took them to the WHL Finals two years in a row, and the Memorial Cup in 2010. He was the WHL Playoff MVP in 2010 and on the Memorial Cup All-Star team.
He holds a bunch of Hitmen franchise records, such as most games played, most wins, most shutouts, and most playoff wins. Of course, the other names on the Hitmen goalie records list include Justin Pogge (7 NHL games), Alexander Fomitchev (0 NHL games), Dan Spence (0 NHL games), and Brent Krahn (1 NHL game), so the Hitmen haven't exactly been an elite goaltending factory. Barry Brust has played the most NHL games of any former Hitmen goalie (11), but he was only a Hitman for half a season.
In fact, Jones already has twice as many NHL wins as every other Hitmen alumni goalie in history, combined (Brust had 2 NHL wins, and Pogge had 1).
